English Plus Professional Cookery.
 
The North West Academy of English is offering international chefs the opportunity to participate in a programme that will allow them to develop their professional skills and experience, to gain a recognised qualification and improve their employment prospects.
This programme is aimed at international chefs who are interested in developing their professional skills and improving their employment prospects for the hospitality and catering sector. The programme comprises of a language development course and a NVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery (Food Preparation and Cooking) General + Units of Supervisory Management Course at one of the UK’s leading colleges.
The principal aims of this programme are:
- To help students develop their English language skills for everyday life, for studying at college in the UK and for working in the hospitality and catering sector.
- To provide students with a recognised qualification in NVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery (Food Preparation and Cooking) with Units in Supervisory Management.
- To develop students’ skills and experience which will allow them to progress to higher level study or explore employment opportunities in the catering and hospitality sector.
- To assist participants in the programme to find suitable employment in the UK catering and hospitality sector.

 

DELIVERING THE PROGRAMME

The programme will be carried out under the auspices of the North West Academy and the NVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery (Food Preparation and Cooking) General + Units of Supervisory Management Course will be completed at North West Regional College.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Level 2 Professional Cookery qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working in the hospitality and catering sector.
• Have the determination to improve your English and professional skills and to work in some of Britain’s finest restaurants.
